Jun 17, 2005 This is a great hefe-weizen. Spicy with hops (saaz?), yet subtle on the typical clove bannana flavors. This is 2nd only to the Alchemist in VT for a US brewed Hefe that we’ve tried recently.

Oct 31, 2004 not all that great. looks like bananas in the glass. sweet and sort of thin, there is potential here, its just not being taken advantage of. still not bad. sampled at brewgrass 04 on draught.

May 5, 2004 Draft at Barley’s Tap Room in Knoxville. Dark yellow color with no head at all. Banana, lemony aroma. Heavy malt flavor. But just wasn’t having it aside from that. The lemon helped, but the taste just didn’t seem right. I’ve had much better Hefe’s.

Apr 16, 2004 Cloudy dark yellow, no head. Nice banana, clove and lemon aroma. Fluffy and fruity, slightly smoky, with a clean, crisp finish.

Mar 12, 2004 Draft sampler at the brewery. This hit the hefe style right on the head. Nice clove flavor to go with that hefe feel.
