This is a great hefe-weizen. Spicy with hops (saaz?), yet subtle on the typical clove bannana flavors. This is 2nd only to the Alchemist in VT for a US brewed Hefe that we’ve tried recently.

Cloudy dark yellow, no head. Nice banana, clove and lemon aroma. Fluffy and fruity, slightly smoky, with a clean, crisp finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, yellow. Thin white head with only scant lace. Nose and flavor is as expected: estery bananas and cloves with a dash of citrus. Banana really comes out in the flavor. Very good hefe.

Sampled at the Blues and Brews festival. Pours a hazy pale white with a thin white head. The nose has banana, clove, sweet, wheaty, yeasty, some spice. The flavor is very wheaty, banana, spicy, clove, sweet, citrusy. Decent palate and banana in the finish.

Draught at the brew-pub. Pale yellow, cloudy, big white head, nice lacing. Aroma is banana and yeast, some clove. Flavor is similar, soft mouthfeel. Typical hefe, at least tastes like it’s supposed to. Goes well with lemon.

Pale hazy yellow, almost white. Large frothy head. Faint clovey aroma. Fairly sweet body. Not a of character, but lacks that vegetal tendency that many hefes seem to have.

KBjam. A slightly hazed yellow pour with white head and lace. Aroma of bannanas and corriander of sorts. A flavor that follows the nose and is just lacking something that would make this a better hefe. Just kinda plain but not unpleasant.
