Commercial Description:
One of our seasonal brews! A malty German style Marzen celebrating the fall months and the end of summer. The use of generous malts create a silky texture and roundness which fills your pallet. Seven malts yield a wonderful light brown hue.

Sampled at 2009 charlotte octoberfest. A little more on the fruity side of the octoberfest spectrum. A little bit of baked bread aroma and nuttiness in the flavor.

Clear orange-red, white cover. Aroma is fruity, malty, heavy. Taste is fruity, apples, peaches, pears, clean caramel malt, but a light sourness.

This was a beer. The aroma with rather bland but not unpleasant as was the flavor. I was not surprised to find that it was at 4%. After finding that out I scored it a tad higher as an easy drinker that is not flawed but is not special.

Hard to get excited about this one. Looks the part with a light clear brown body awash with red highlights, and a medium off-white head, and flavor profile is correct, but it is just weak. Malt character is lacking. Hops play virtually no part, and is slightly watery.

Appearance: clear amber, fine dirty white head,
Aroma: rich sweet caramel malt aroma with lots of earthy hops, candy sweetness is quickly balanced by the earthy hops,
Flavor: rich caramel malt flavor, earthyness keeps it dry, a touch of candy caramel manages to sneek through, long finish from the earthy character,

Draught at the brew-pub. Amber, clear, with medium head. Aroma is faint caramel and even fainter chocolate. Flavor is a good balance of caramel, chocolate, grain. Slight hop, roasted malt bitterness in finish.

Draft sample at Knoxville Brew Jam. Poured a clear copper color with a large frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted caramel malt aroma. Medium body. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.
