Sep 24, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Opaque with a quarter-inch of cream above that leaves frosty lace behind. Mild dry cocoa aroma. Tastes of dry cocoa and coffee with a touch of cream. Medium body is lightly carbonated, a bit too watery, and has a slightly dry finish.

Milky black color, with a creamy 2-inch head on it. The head plops away in clumps and accompanies me throughout. The lacing is nice and ends as a gob of clumpy creamy muck in the bottom of my pint. The aromas are subtle if not absent altogether. A little malty, some coffee, a tiny trace of smokiness. The taste holds true to the aromas. Rather bland. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. No harshness at all here.
