| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2005 Black body with a light tan head. The aroma was roasted nuts and some coffee with chocolate. Taste of strong roasted coffee and and a little milk chocolate. The aftertaste lingers. Thin body for an impy stout, more like a dry. JohnC (2254), Mission Viejo, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2005 Nearly opaque black-brown hue with a rich, creamy, brown head. Roasty, roasty, roasty, with some chocolate and anise. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter flavor becomes a moderately sweet, moderatley acidic, moderately bitter finish. Did I mention roasty? Medium-full body, creamy, moderate carbonation. The bottom line is: one of the best dry stouts I’ve had that isn’t listed as a dry stout... brentfeesh (1038), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2005 Sampled at the 6/2005 ‘Nooga gathering. Poured from a mini-barrel/keg thing. Very dark. Opaque, with a frothy off white/brown head. I noted molasses, wood, and perhaps some soy or brinyness in the aroma. Had a creamy mouth feel that quickly evolved to a tannin/wood like mouth feel. The flavor had wood, burnt malt, coffee. Minimal aftertaste other than a lightly bitter coffee/malt hint. Not at all unpleasant but NOTHING like any other imperial stout I’ve had. This is a straight stout or a dry stout. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA
