tronraner (1905), Maryville, Tennessee, USA May 28, 2009 Draught at Union Jack’s. Pours straw yellow with small white head. The aroma is very perfumy and herbal with some lemon zest, bubblegum, and wheat. The flavor is gummy wheat, some lemon, and a few berry notes. There are some haylike hops in there, but mostly a yeast and wheat spiciness. Decent enough for what it is. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA May 12, 2009 On tap at Union Jack’s. Clear yellow with a white cover. Lemon aroma. Taste is lemon, grassy, some spice and clove. Decent. wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jun 16, 2008 On tap at the olde hickory taproom in hickory, garnished with an orange slice. Pale, straw-yellow color, medium white head. Citrus, wheat, yeasty, bready aroma. Flavor is not as yeasty as aroma would indicate, but very similar. Kind of a mix between a Wit and a wheat ale. astrofrk (218), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jun 14, 2008 On tap at Union Jacks... Knoxville.
Golden. Small and fast head.

Pours a clear golden red with a wheaty, sweet, orange, lemongrass, banana. Tastes citrusy, orange, wheaty, light spice, banana. Not very carbonated in the mouth and finishes with banana. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA Sep 30, 2006 Draft at Charlotte Oktoberfest 2006. Pours out a yellowish color without much of a head. Smell is sweet, fruity, some sour lemoness and orange. Taste is smooth and refreshing, very lively body. Not a bad beer but I wasnt expecting a witbier. Decent. NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Aug 3, 2006 draught. I think my tolerance/craving for this was hightened due to the punishing east TN heat/humidity knock-out combo in August. The pour is a sickly, very light copper which is very cloudy and produces an attractive white head. The aroma is sweet of pears, maybe peaches too, and also contains scents of hay and lemon drops. The body is very light and hints at flavors of rye, lemons, a dash of dark spices which might be found in cookies. While it isn’t anything to be noted as complex or savored, it very well serves as an easily quaffed thirst quencher which doesn’t leave the imbiber feeling empty or ashamed that he just consumed a shitty beer.
