jrob21 (1251), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 11, 2009 Sampled at charlotte octoberfest 2009. These guys were a pleasant and surprising find at the festival. Good beers coming out of here. This one was no exception. One of the better IPAs I came across today. Predominately citrus hop profile with a bitter grapefruit finish. Clear dark orange, amber color with a decent off white head. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jan 19, 2009 Clear copper pour with fizzy white head. Grainy aroma with a touch of yeast. Caramel malts, yeast and citrus. Finish is a little grassy lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 20, 2008 Clear copper pour with a thin whitish grey head. Bready malt aroma, some piney hops. Taste is light caramel malt, strong pine and grassy hops. nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Oct 26, 2008 Sampled at the Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Poured a clear orange/gold color with a one finger whitish head. Aroma of citrus. Flavor is slightly malty, but well balanced with citrus and grassy hops. Good beer from this brewer. BeerHawk (1175), Huntsville, Alabama, USA Oct 20, 2008 Sampled at the 2008 Knoxville Brewers’ Jam. Orange in the glass with a creamy off-white head that leaves good lace and some lasting. Aroma of citrus and grass/grain. The flavor finds caramel and citrus with a hint of grain. Light body, soft carbonation, and a light bitterness throughout. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Oct 13, 2008 A pale copper/orange pour with off white head and lace. Aroma of medium citrus hops dominate. Flavor is malt with a pleasant bitter finish as well. Good carbonation but being a tad thin kept this from being a much better beer. Though I liked it alot. nearbeer (1833), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 24, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Clear copper with a lasting head that leaves some soapy lace. Faint aroma of resin and caramel. Tastes of caramel, resin and light citrus are in perfect harmony with a bitterness that lasts throughout, but is not dominating. Light-medium body is creamy smooth and dry, with a nice hop-tingly finish. argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Sep 22, 2008 (Brewgrass08) Soft off-white head atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, bread, grass/straw. Taste is medium sweet, pine/grapefruit, some bread. Soft light-medium body. Not what I’d think of as an IPA, my rating is to an APA (else I’d score it lower).
