emacgee (1297), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jun 9, 2008 Sampled at the Blues and brews Festival. Pours a dark reddish copper amber. The nose is decent, sweet, some grapefruit peel. Flavor tastes like its old. Perhaps an old keg made it to the festival, not sure. Lightly bitter, earthy, feels like its english. Decent mouthfeel.

Aroma of medium citrus hops dominate. Flavor is malt with a pleasant bitter finish as well. Good carbonation but being a tad thin kept this from being a much better beer. Though I liked it alot. nearbeer (1483), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 24, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Clear copper with a lasting head that leaves some soapy lace. Faint aroma of resin and caramel.
