Poured an almost clear glowing golden orange color with a small white head. Floral and citrus hop aroma with a light malt base. Some notes of oranges. the flavor was malty with notes of orange citrus. Light-medium body.

bottle: pours a cloudy dark hay colour with a quick white head. very nice aroma of sweet malts and a mellow hop bitterness int eh nose. a decent homey and fruit aroma too. the flavour is pretty seet but nice, a decent malt not great but a little breadiness adn a good grassy earth hop in the finish. seems more like a English IPA and not to bad of one.

Bottle shared by beerbill. Pale amber beer. Aroma is quite honeyish and chewy. Not at all hoppy really. Sweet and lightly grassy. Tastes of pale malt extract. Not an IPA at all and really comes across quite sweet. Meh.

22 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with dkachur. Pours a mostly clear gold with a linen white head. The aroma is sweet malt with just a few scant notes of citrus. The flavor is frankly a bit odd with strong husky malt followed by some very mild grapefruit pith. This is not very hoppy at all, especially for an IPA. Some light bitterness at the finish and somewhat flavorless. Medium bodied. Disappointing.

Bottle from dkachur. Thanks! golden pour with a decent head and some lacing. The aroma is of sweet caramel malts, some english malts, and a touch of fruity hops. Moderately sweet malty flavors are followed by floral and peppery hops in the finish that are light. More sweet and malty than hoppy. Easy to drink. Kind of unimpressive.

Pours clear copper with lots of carbonation and a small tan head. The aroma is quite oxidized with some caramel malt with dry earthy hops. Medium / thin body with somewhat sharp carbonation. The taste has lots of oxidized cardboard, buttery diacetyl and not a whole lot else. Hopefully I can rerate this with a fresh bottle. (5/3/4/2/10 - 2.4)
Got a fresh bottle and while I was hoping to bump up the score a lot, it will be minimal bumping. The aroma now has mushy caramel, biscuit malt, underlying spicy hops and a bit of diacetyl. Appearance and palate are about the same as the original notes. The taste has caramel / toffee like malt, spicy hops, some earthiness and some diacetyl. The finish is buttery and spicy. This is fair at best. Their #4 brown ale is significantly better.

650 ml bottle courtesy of dkachur. Pours a translucent copper color with medium white head that showed good lacing. The aroma was moderate in strength with dough, malted barley and apricots. The taste was hops forward with a fair biter hops kick, also present in the flavor was pine, caramel and brown sugar. The mouthfeel was full and malty. The finish was medium in duration and biter-sweet. Overall: A very enjoyable IPA, sometimes the bitterness comes across as a bit harsh, but strengths outweigh flaws. A recommended quaff. Thanks Dan.
