Picked up at a supermarket in Richmond, VA... Appears a semi-transparent orange with a small white head. Streaky lacing is left around the glass. Smell is of herbal tea, perfumey, earthy notes, floral, mild piney hops, along with some golden raisin, and caramel sweetness found to balance out the bitterness. Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a midly sweet, gently hopped IPA that seems to be leaning more towards a British style IPA than the citrusy American bretheren. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, leaning towards the bitter but decently balanced.

Re-rate from a new fresh bottle. Worst beer of the night for me at a recent tasting- all fusel and phenolic with harsh solvents all the way arouing and no real fresh hops- all cheesy stale crap. Blech. Pours a clear light copper with mild carbonation and a thin head. Lightly metallic aroma with earthy and tea-like hops, floral and light mild caramel malts. Sweet malty flavor oupfront but the middle and end are hoppy and earlty sticky and sappy bitterness in the end which was nice- low carb made it pretty smooth.

Pours a lightly hazy golden with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of malty sweetness, iced tea, hints of some citrus. Flavor of grainy sweetness, some hop flavor and bitterness. Some citrus a good bit of caramel.

22oz. Carbonation is what struck me most about this offering, making it a fairly refreshing brew. Overall very straightforward hops and malt, lacking in complexity. Almost strikes me as unfinished or at least unrefined.

Nice deep hazy golden coloured body with an orange glow and a very small off-white head with trillions of bubbles rising from the bottom of the bottle. Aroma of strong hops, a nice malty touch, light lemons and a citrus twang that sticks up well. Medium to Full-bodied; A hoppy first sip with definite malt to back it up. Lemons and lingering metallic bitterness follows on the palate. Aftertaste shows a good maltiness, but the hoppiness (which everyone should be drinking this one for) shows stronger - very nice. Overall, a good beer that really took me off-guard. I do like a lot of St. George’s beers, but this was really good in my opinion. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Kevin at Grape & Gourmet in Virginia Beach, Virginia on 25-September-2007.

(Bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of orange, floral, and light pine. Flavor of apple, caramel, peach, toasted malt, and citrusy hops with soft mouthfeel and a somewhat bitter finish.

Bottle... Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, white head. Musty, earthy nose with toffee, grapefruit and pine essences. Fairly firm toffee backbone followed by medium, earthy bitterness. Over attenuated. Medium-bodied and astringent with lively carbonation. Bitter, bone-dry finish. Kudos to growler for shipping this bottle to me!

Courtesy hopscotch. Pours a clear, gold color with a small off white head. Smells of citric hops, musty malts, and some fruits. Nothing inspiring. Thetaste has very little hop flavor. Its there, but not what you would expect. The maltiness seems to dominate it. Pretty easy drinking, with a sweet aftertaste, but not what I was looking for in this beer and in this style.
