Bottle at Xmas Eve Eve Eve. Pours very dark mahogany with extremely small beige head. The aroma is bitter chocolate, caramel, and a surprising vinous note. The flavor is raisin, wood, earthy hops, and finishes on the dry side. Pretty good.

22 oz. shared by Butters at the Christmas Eve cubed gathering. Nearly opaque brown with a nice little head and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate, caramel and light coffee. Flavor is deliciously the same. Medium body is smooth and roasty dry.

Brown, as one might expect in a brown ale. Kind of a fruity, bready aroma - like toast made of rasin bread. Nice rich palate. Notes of chocolate and some mild fruitynotes. Pretty enjoyable, actually. Thanks to Butters at the Maryville Tasting.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma has sweet maltiness, lots of toastiness and some nutty traits. Medium / thick body that is smooth with a bit of semi-sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with very toasted malt that almost comes across as roasted, coffee bitterness and lots of dark nuttiness. A nice example of a brown ale.
