650 ml bottle from dkachur. Pours a dark brown color with red highlights and a big off-white head that displayed good lacing. The aroma murky with roasted malts and chocolate. The flavor was rich with roasted malts, dirt, biter-sweet nuts and a bit of mocha. The mouthfeel is full and creamy. The finish is medium in duration with a slight biter astringency.Overall: One of the better brown ales that I can remember. Thanks Dan.

Taps at Capital Ale House Virginia Beer Festival. Slight roast malt aroma with bit of earthy hops. Ruby brown mostly clear with small white head. Light roastyness and brown malt flavors. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Nice drinking beer.

Its taste clean but a good brown ale is not really the way its supposed to be. Slightly smokey with some noticeable hops. Thin but very drinkable.

The aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, cream, and hops. The appearance is brown with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma but a little too clean for the style. The palate is a little too thin. Overall it’s good.

Malty with a hint of brown sugar. A brown foamy tight lace. Roasted malt flavor that has a pretty decent bitter finish. A nice palate with light carbonation. Nice all rond beer with a nice bitter finish.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown body with a small, wispy, off-white head. Smell: Altogether mild aroma, but there are some notes present smelling of walnuts, a single drop of chocolate, and a splash of black tea. Taste: Roasted nuts and a teaspoon of table sugar. The vaguest hints of chocolate and caramel. Very, very light bitterness interrupts, then it’s back to the nuts. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Ah, nuts!

A dark brown to almost black color. The aroma is nutty with some caramel and chocolate. The flavor is a little bit dry with some toffee, chocolate, and nutmeg. Overall a decent enough brown ale.
