The aroma begins with a mild brief shot of roasted malts that get covered by sweet pale to Munich type malts and spice to floral to citrus hops. Very mild aroma so these notes were subtle. The taste is very much like the aroma with a quick hit of roasted malts followed by pale malts mixed with Munich malts. There’s muted floral and hop spice murmuring up from time to time. Into the finish sweet malts and caramel actually becomes the dominant flavor components mixed with more Munich type malts. Nice lager. KnN (753), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 10, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Aroma of sweet caramel and malt. Fluffy white head which leaves little lacing. Copper colored body that implies a heartier mouthfeel that this beer actually presents, which was thin. Very slight hoppy flavor masked with a bland blanket of grain. Mild aftertaste of nuttiness. Nothing outstanding or out of the ordinary. PilsnerPeter (2667), Flushing, New York, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Tap at Mugs Ale House: It was a special for $2 a pint, and for good reason... Copper/amber pour with an off white thin head. Sweet and doughy everywhere. Has a real macro feel to it. No spiciness, nor bitterness. Reminded me of Killians, with even less balance. Avoid this one. Appearance :Clear amber brown with imposing handsome long lasting thick beige crown. Loose yet neatly crafted lace. 4+ Nose :
Mineral sweet nose, molasses with central euro hop profile ending in woody toffee wrap. Flavour/Palate : Medium full bodied. Sweet backbone with nutty alt like ceiling. Front and finish fairly flat only with middle fairly richly represented. Late bitterness shown. Inconsistent, but to soft and limited but with good Marzen set up. Fair to say that you should try one if you into German lagers.

I am the last one to get back to the cottage and one guy passes out these beers and only mine was partially frozen. @#$%^& it! I drank the alcohol 1st then had the rest later when it thawed out. zach8270 (2136), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is light but well-balanced. Some smooth and sweet malts with not a lot of hops coming through. Smooth and mildly sweet flavor with a slight bitterness in the middle and a light and bitter finish with a lingering aftertaste.
