Aroma of toasted nuts, whisky (odd…), cereal, and caramel (nose resembles a much stronger beer). Flavor of toasted grain, caramel malt, marzipan, and nuts. Something seems a bit off in this batch. hopdog (5617), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a medium and slightly cloudy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of butter with some caramel in the background. Tastes lighter butter and caramel. Definitely past its prime (I wonder how old this bottle is). jcwattsrugger (5581), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is medium malt-caramel/somewhat molasses-like, earthy and kind of a weird mix. Taste is medium malt-caramel/somewhat molasses-like, secondary earthy hops, over roasted and kind of a weird mix, maybe a bit smoky. Half way between an amber and rauch. hopscotch (5543), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Small, fizzy, off-white head. Funky nose with notes of honey. Also plenty of evidence of aldehyde and lactic acid in both the aroma and flavor. Fortunately, I dig "tart." Medium-bodied and astringent with soft carbonation. Bone dry, coarse finish. Keep those tanks and bottles clean down in Huntsville! Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA

Tastes of citrus and tarte with a breaddy finish. Some nuttiness present as well. Very vegetal as it warms up. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 11, 2005 This poured a near headless amber and had a cloyingly sweet malt aroma topped with a nutty, pungently bitter smell. The flavor settles down a bit, just the toned down sweet malt, although the bitterness returns in the finish. This is my first beer from Alabama. It can only get better.

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, fully diminishing.
Body is hazy dark amber.
Aroma is moderately malty (cereal, grain, coffee), trace hops (flowers).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, husky.
Medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation.
An odd, husky, raw, beginner-homebrew-like beer that, shall we say, needs more work.
