Deep ruby in color with a small white head/ Sharp, tangy, earthy hop aroma. Flavor is earthy and strong: sweet malt and citric bite with a big alcohol presence. Somewhere between a barleywine and a DIPA in style, really, but it’s very tasty. Really enjoyable.

Sampled at Noogfest High 5. Very exciting to see high gravity beer coming from Alabama. It pours an amber color with fluffy beige head. The aroma is excellent with lots of American hops--orange, grapefruit, pine-- and some slight honey and cookie notes. The flavor is fruity with a nice pine bitterness. Some toast lies behind it and some disembodied general bitterness floats around. Pine lasts long after the finish. It’s a good sign if stuff like this starts coming from AL.

A medium orange/brown pour with a cramy white head and lace. Medium piney hops with a nice caramel malt kicker. Sweet caramel malt flavor with a nice balance ever green bittering. Medium full bodied beer that is very nice.

Pours ruby tinged amber with a frothy lasting beige head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Taste is more bitter than aroma and is backed up well with malt. Pine resin finish. Very nice beer.

Draft at the Nook and from growler at Noogfest High 5. Red brown in the glass with a creamy off-white that had some lasting a light lace. Nice pine aroma with a backing of malts. The flavor found pine and grapefruit with a light malt undertone. Medium body and medium bitterness in the aftertaste that hangs of for a while. Hopefully this is a good sign of more nice things to start coming out of Alabama.
