Pale golden color, small white head that faded quickly leaving little behind.Nice malty aroma with a slight sweet side and maybe even a slight fruityness as well.Nice flavor to this one,Light malty side good sweetness, light feel to the brew with a decent but mild hop presence. Not bad for a brew, but then bot great eather.Itwould make a good session brew and a very good Lawnmower brew for the summer.I like it.Thanks go to BeerandBlues2 for sending this brew my way.

Dry straw malt body is fairly malt for the style although very low sweetness. This is easily drinkable. Slight tingly bit of hops, but they’re not a major presence. Apparently the earlier runnings from the brewery were problematic, but the latest stuff has much improved with quality, so the scores should improve as old stock is cleared from stores and the improved product replaces it.

12 oz Bottle: Pours a very light pee like golden yellow. A quickly fading head. A little, but not a lot of carbonation. The aroma is fairly typical of a Pale Ale:floral, hoppy, malts, citrus, bread. The taste was sweet malty and nice.

This one is your typical pale ale. Hazy in appearance. Not too much aroma. Sweet (not too much though) on the palate. Nice offering, prefer the Hefe and Porter by far to this one though.

I’ve never had an "Extra" pale ale before. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of flavor! I could taste hops with a bit of lemon, with a tinge of dustiness. Looks nice poured from a bottle with a yellowish look. A good beer.

It’s funny ... Der Biermeister liked this one the least of all the Olde Towne brews we tried. I liked it the most, although I'd be hard pressed to say I truly enjoyed it. It was very similar to a sweet, adjunct-rich domestic, only perhaps a bit more cloudy, a hair more muscular and a bit more citrusy. Hazy yellow in color with a malty citrus aroma; flavor is very sweet: yellow corn with a splash of lemon. I'm more of a darker, more robust beer sort of guy, but I can see this having more of a mass appeal. And, as I said in my rating of Olde Towne's Amber, the brewmaster still plans on refining the beers: nailing down the final recipe for production in the wake of a very rushed opening party, so I hope to come back after a second tasting and be able to rate Olde Towne's beers much higher. ****** Well, visited the brewery last night at the invitation of the brewmaster and re-sampled the beers some two months after their debut ... BIG improvement over their opening night. The extra pale was much clearer (there had been problems with the filtering process) and had a far richer flavor. Not much has changed overall, as it's still a lighter, sweet citrusy beer, but the quality is several notches higher. A good, highly drinkable beer.

My least favorite of Olde Towne’s beers. In fact, I probably won’t order it again. Light clean yellow color, nice light sweet flavor, but seemed a little watery. I didn’t know what to expect from a "extra" pale ale and maybe I still don’t. Not bad, but not nearly as good as Olde Towne’s other beers.
