Draft sample from growler at NOOGFEST09. Poured clear yellow color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate wheat, banana and clove aroma. Medium body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium smooth sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good session beer and my first Alabama beer.

The beer pours to a shiny 18k gold body with a soapy white head. Nice luminosity and carbonation. The aroma is sweet and wheaty with a light tangy lemon and orange. Some cloves. The flavor is wheaty with some sweet grassy hops. The palate is light and crisp but has a filtered texture. The beer is pretty decent, but Dave’s home brewed Hefe I had the other night was better.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with an edge of acidity. The flavor is sweet again with a light acidity and notes of wheat combined with lighter notes of citrus, leading to a dry wheaty finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of brentfeesh. Hazy yellow with a small, rough white head. Aroma of yeast and phenols. Thin and watery, very low in carbonation, mainly just yeasty with none of your typical Hefe esters apart from the phenollic finish. Poor. 120609

Tap @ the 1st Annual Rocket City Brewfest. 08 may 09. Light haze, yellow. White head. Big ripened banana, like banana bubblegum. Flavor is full of wheat malt. Like a cereal. Nice balance. Finishes with a spicy clove.
