SpringsLicker’s Fish Fry. Sample from a bottle thanks to brentfeesh. Barely cloudy yellow with a white cover. Big bubblegum aroma, banana nut bread. Taste is more banana nut bread with a hint of spiciness.

This was a nice surprise, since its taste resembles a banana nut bread version of Paulaner’s Hefe-Weiss beer. By the way Hefe-Weiss is just the Southern German way of saying Hefeweizen, as I understand it. Pretty delicious, so I’m proud it’s from Alabama, my home state. Of course, it’s still not as good as Paulaner though, and its head, does not last nearly as long as Paulaner’s would.

Bottle at the ’09 Fish Fry. Pours cloudy golden yellow with very little head. The aroma is sweet and lemony with honey and candy. The flavor is kind of bland and papery with a little bit of banana nut bread. Watery finish. Drinkable, but not exciting.

Bottle from brentfeesh at Springslicker’s Fish Fry. More clear than I expected, with a very thin white head. Wheaty, Cheerio aroma. Flavor is light, but crisp and finishes with a slight herbal note. Not bad.

Offered by a lady with about a thousand patches and pins on her coat next to one sweet RV on DLD. Poured a dark yellow with a fruity aroma. I think the growler had been sitting for awhile, thus the warm beer. It wasnt great, but like I said, cold would have made it better. Some bananas and clove in the taste. She told me the ABV was under 6% for anyone that wonders.

A guy in a kilt poured me some of this, exclaiming "yes, we do have beer in Alabama," Golden pour, light sweet nose. Some banana in the flavor, though not much. Decent hefe, Would have been better had it been hotter out.

12 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy yellow color with a one finger white head. The aroma was strong with banana and clove. The flavor was citrusy, with the clove and banana complimenting it nicely. Great summer beer.

Cloudy yellow pour with bubbly white head and lace. Aroma of sweet clove and bannanas. Bannnanas and clove dominate the flavor. A bit thin with mild carbonation that I liked. Pretty solid beer.
