This and the Porter are Olde Towne’s best offerings by far. This brew has a nice orange/yellow cloudy appearance, banana/vanilla taste on the palate is not too overwhelming. The brew has nice body and good head off draft. This brew is a good local brew, especially if you like Hefe’s -- this really is a good one. egore (4), Madison, Alabama, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 7, 2007 NIce banana clove aroma. High carb levels as apppropriate for this style. Good clove spiceyness in the flavor. Compared it with several others at Music City Brewer’s Festival and found it to be the best of the Hefe’s. A highly quaffable beer. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 8, 2006 Pours a very cloudy orange. The aroma is full-on wheat with a not-fully-ripe banana and some spiciness. The flavor is surprisingly tart, but not in a foul way. Not bad. brentfeesh (1039), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2006 Pours a hazy pumpkin orange color with no head. The aroma has moderate hefe notes of wheat, lemons, bananas and spices (cinnamon and clove). Not overly sweet to the nose and fairly well balance (i.e., none of the aromas are overpowering). The flavor has light bananas at first with a light fruit/candy sweetness (light and fleeting) moving to a banana lingering sweetness marked by cinnamon and clove. Decent body. Not too cloying or sticky. Lingering and medium. Pretty good really. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 13, 2006 Pours a cloudy golden amber in color with a small, tight white head. Nice hefe aroma of bananas and citrusy hops. The flavor is sweet malt with a very tangy citrus thing going on. Very tangy. But not unpleasantly so. Refreshing and smooth, similar to their bock in that there’s almost an oily slickness left on the palate, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s definitely a tasty brew. mbeem (104), New Hope, Alabama, USA

Reserved nose of banana, clove, straw an citrus. Taste is refreshing with clove and banana notes predominantly on the tongue with subtle hints of vanilla and hops. So far the best offering from Olde Towne I’ve had. Kevster (227), Bradenton, Florida, USA
