Commercial Description:
Quickly becoming one of our most popular brews. Olde Towne Pale Ale is a delight to all the senses. Crafting this style of ale requires the use of three specialty malts which provides a rich, full-bodied flavor. This maltiness is carefully balanced by the incorporation of "Cascade" and imported English hops ealy in the boil. This combination of malts and hops creates a complex Pale Ale with a wonderful finish. Beer lovers know that aroma, flavor and the finish are crucial to great pale ale. Olde Towne Pale Ale strives to this to you.

Bottle in Huntsville. This wasn’t great but I would want to keep it in the fridge all the time. Orangey body, and think head. Malty and orangey hops in the smell. Taste is mostly of the malts and lighter hops. Pretty good.

Keg for a July 4th party. I had this in a bottle before the brewery burned down a year ago and found it lame. This keg has changed my mind. Very hoppy and bitter. Reminded more of an IPA than just a pale ale - enough that I asked the party host at least 3 times to make sure it wasnt the new Olde Towne Double IPA. Only complaint is that flavors were muted by the hopiness. It is astringent but tolerable.

12 oz bottle sent to me by Sparky27. "SO" printed on the label, not sure if that means anything. Pour is slight hazed orange golden with a one inch dirty white head. Aroma of bready toasty malt and some very faint earthy pine bitter hop. Also a grass note. Taste is sweet toasty malt. The sweetness is a bit chemical and harsh. The hops are earthy pine, mild astringent bitterness and a little floral. Palate is medium thin, low carbonation with a dry dirt / earth finish. As this warmed it got pretty dusty and dirty. Thanks for the AL beer Eric!

Bottle courtesy of BeerHawk – my first from Alabama – thanks Steve! Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with a one finger white head that faded into a soap scum topper fairly fast. The nose is caramel, earth hops and light citrus. The taste is malt, light citrus and a nice resin bite in the finish. Medium mouthfeel – decent APA, nice and hoppy for the style. Thanks again Steve!

Tap @ the 1st Annual Rocket City Brewfest. 08 may 09. Light amber pour, thick creamy head. Aroma of citrus and caramel malts. Flavor of pale malts. Finishes with a bold hop bitterness. Better than most IPAs.

Last time I went to the grocery store I caused a lot of commotion cause I tried to buy that thing at the register that separates your food from the other guy’s food.. "No, I need this! You don’t know what its like where I live..."
