| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 7, 2007 Appearance: The Olde Towne Pale Ale is golden/orange in color, with a mild haziness to it, and is capped by a fluffy white head.
Smell: Fruity and citrusy, but has an unpleasant solventlike character to it. Its all rather off-putting, but ever onward! Hey, wait! Where are the hops here?
Taste: The aroma definitely comes across in the taste, and it’s somewhat harsh. Depth of the hops is lacking. Light mealy malt flavors. Plenty of carbonation. Its like a pale ale spritzer.
Mouthfeel: A bit on the thin side. It hits your tongue, gives you a brief thrill, but then goes away right away. Not much there.
Drinkability: Drinkable, but not overly thrilling. I don’t believe I’d recommend this one. However, I’ll continue to wait and see what this brewery has to offer in the future. mcclenw (36), Stevenson, Alabama, USA

You will get a much better head off draft and the taste is somewhat better. When off draft, not too much aroma, nice head and lacing, bitter on the pallette. Still better than those bud lights and miller lights you will find during happy hour. JonnyC22 (164), Huntsville, Alabama, USA

Draught pours an okay head. Aroma is nonexistent. Laces are there. I really feel like this is an okay pale. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Poor Alabama!!! Wow, this wasn’t so hot. Clear amber color with absolutely no head, even in bfeld’s head magnifying glassware. No lacing. Flat and then some. Aroma was slight caramel malts. Flavor was caramel with a cedar type wood touch. Mouthfeel was incredibly flat and watered down. Bad stuff. Drank it like juice. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

Mouthfeel was sooooo flat." cmt (12), USA

The Pale ale I had is crisp, clean, clear, hoppy, nice color, nice flavor and just enough bitterness for me, I really don’t like the over-the-top bitter pale ales but this one was a very good pale ale.
