Commercial Description:
Quickly becoming one of our most popular brews. Olde Towne Pale Ale is a delight to all the senses. Crafting this style of ale requires the use of three specialty malts which provides a rich, full-bodied flavor. This maltiness is carefully balanced by the incorporation of "Cascade" and imported English hops ealy in the boil. This combination of malts and hops creates a complex Pale Ale with a wonderful finish. Beer lovers know that aroma, flavor and the finish are crucial to great pale ale. Olde Towne Pale Ale strives to this to you.

Bottle courtesy of kramer17801 in the six pack trade. Dark golden/light amber in color, minimal white head. Aroma and flavor very astringent and metallic-like. Tiny bit of grass hops and not much else. Very bitter in a bad way, something seems to be way off.

bottle. pours a foggy orange bdoy with a frothy white head that recedes with remnants of sticky sheet lacing. the aroma is a strange mix of good and bad - perfumey hops, honeydew, and pineapple, among a big butter profile. interesting flavour that has some qualities of an APA with a distinct fruitiness and a bit of yeasty bread in the finish. mediocre.

Thanks for the bottle Brad, much appreciated. What we have here is a hazy orange beer, complimented with a large and generous frothy off white foam. Hops are present in the aroma, and I’m leaning towards english style hops here, but I’m probably wrong. SOme caramel and oranges too. Somewhat cheesy. Caramel flavours befriended by some pine hops, and some bitter sour nuances. Finish is unpleasant due to a mild burning sensation. Why it’s doing this at 5%, I do not know. Thanks Brad!

An incredible, sudsy head formed over a golden-copper body with a slight haze and happy streams of effervescence. Aroma finds dusty floral hopping with sweet, juicy citrus and a hint of evergreen. Flavor is much more sour than I was expecting. Lemony but pastry-like (meringue pie?) with astringence & bitters in the finish. Far too sour.

This beer came to me in my beer club. I have never heard of this brewer before. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy dark golden color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma is dry and has light fruity and floral hop notes. The flavor is sharp tangy and sour. The beer is very bitter in an almost vinegar like fashion. There are moderate floral hops initially but the hops fade quickly. The flavor is notably poor - drain pour.

12oz bottle. Amber in color with a off white head that laces some. The aroma is strong with a floral hop with alittle sweet carmel. Bitter but this is a Pale Ale. Has very light citrus flavor with a smooth malt feel. Overall it make for a ok beer, since I live in AL I will have to try it again.

My first swig and thought to myself - "the beer went bad on me!". Regardless I keep drinking and don’t think it went bad but not reallty sure. It has a murkey, sorta thick look and texture. Tastes bubbly and salty. Quite odd. It’s not terrible but I think I’ll pass on a 2nd bottle.

12oz bottle via trade with beerandblues2 - Thanks Brad! - Pours amber with a big offwhite creamy head that stays well and laces some. Aroma is grassy hops, some candy sweet notes, and some dough. Flavor is sweeter malts. Some caramel, but mostly bread. Not much there for hops for a pale ale. A bit of grassy hops on the finish. Carbonated much but somewhat harsh mouthfeel. A somewhat below average APA.
