Commercial Description:
This is the second in a range of Ølfabrikken special ales.
Starting with the rich and slightly sweet malt profile of a Belgian triple we have added a hop charge every five minutes for full duration of the boil - each hop charge 100 grams larger than the previous one. The result is an immensely bitter ale - a 100 IBU's of course.
Ølfabrikken 100 gram IPA is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and cask conditioned like all of our beers.

Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of intense citrus, some caramel, sweet malt. Tastes citrussy with some pine resin. Overly sweet and messy.

Medium offwhite lasting head. Amber body. Intense tropical fruit hop aroma with malty notes. Slightly catty. Dry-and-sweet intense catty tropical fruit hop taste with a roasty caramelly malt background. Clean, sharpish mouthfeel, lghtly chalky. Long, powerful aftertaste. The bitterness settles in the mouth. (0.5l bottle at Bishop’s Arms, Göteborg. Brewed Oct ’07.)

Bottle. Pours a deep caramel color with a small beigh head and some light lacing. Aroma of floral hops, citrus, grapefruit, orange, and notes of caramel. Flavor is bitter and quite hoppy with zesty citrus, grapefruit, caramel, and a bit of toffee medium to full bodied with a long and bitter finish.

Bottle 650ml
Appearance: Thin light haze , amber toned with medium creamy top..
Nose : All out massive attack of west hop aromas. Dominant alpha s. Light hint of vanilla pushing trough. Citrus with warm alcohol ending.8-
Flavor/Palate : Full bodied ale. Frontal assault of hops. Think of organic juice made from freshly mashed, diced and sliced hops….Hop heads will be in heaven. In time alcohol slowly incoming and sinks with rest. Go bold is the motto here.

courtesy of fiulijn - cloudy dark orange colour, fine white foam; deeply hoppy with notes of quince, pineapple and some alcohol; full-bodied, oily and sticky with a robust and impressive bitterness; long fruity, hoppy and creamy aftertaste - what a beer!

Pours with a hazy, amber body and a off-white, lacing head. Lovely hoppy nose with notes of citrus fruit. Sweet flavour with citrus, pepper, and notes of peach. Medium bodied. Nice long and bitter finish. Well balanced and enjoyable.

Bottle with a big THANK YOU to Tyler (tytoanderso) for this incredibly generous bonus! Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a towering off-white head and great lacing. Aroma is absolutely bursting with hops - lots of floral, citrus, pine, grapefruit and grass, but oddly there seems to be too much going on, which creates a distracting blend of hops aromas. Flavor is more of the hops with a nice bite, but well balanced against a caramelly malt backbone. Well done overall, but found the aroma to be a bit off-putting.
