And in my fave style! Pours a hazy amber/orange. Formed a small off white foamy head. Aroma of pine resins, hops, wet forrest moss, and highland grass. Flavour is full bodied, hops, resins, caramel malts, with a tinge of cloves (?). Truly a remarkable and smooth beer. I would love to try this on tap or from the cask. I superior beer from our friends in Denmark. They have something special here, kick ass beer!!! kujo9 (1077), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA

Alcohol, diacetyl, and grassy herbal hops up front in the nose. Moderate caramel and toasty malt to balance the hop aroma. Toasty malt and seemingly sweet balance throughout with a grassy hop finish. Odd since it’s 100 IBU’s! Resiny/grassy, herbal and lightly citrusy hops up front with caramel, toasty, and bready malts mid palate. Lightly fruity. Pineapple aftertaste from combo of hops, sort of like a pineapple Lifesaver. Medium body, medium carbonation, with warming alcohol. Decent beer, and a nice take on a west coast IPA. Well balanced malt/hop characters in the flavor, and aroma, but I’m still puzzled about this beer being sweet to me. Thankfully the other person tasting the beer thought the same thing. legion242 (1585), Richardson, Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Bottle. Amber pour with thin white head. Strong aroma of caramel and bitter malt with a citrusy hop presence. Sweet malt flavor followed by the citrus / pine hops and bitter malt. Oily mouthfeel. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Grassy hops with enough malts to tell me it’s a double. An uncomfortable gauze/band-aid note, with a Cascade-flavored burp at the end. Oddities in the bitterness at the end. One among many in this category. FatPhil (3477), Espoo, Finland

Rich orange, tiny head. Sweet hoppy aroma. Soapy taste. Brings back the taste of the aniseed nibbles from the curry house. 8.5% covered very well. In fact all flavours of beer are covered very well by the extremely soapy hoppiness. Another victim of the mindless "some is good therefore more is better" mentality. This is utterly unbalanced. If you want 100IBU, grab Alpo’s IPA instead.Having said that - I did enjoy drinking this. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 7, 2008 22 oz. bottle, from slob. Pours hazy deep amber coor with a moderate off-white head that leaves a bit of lace. Rich malty aroma, toasty with hints of caramel, ashy and dusty floral hops, citrus notes with marshmallow and evergreen hints, a little alcohol and spice. Sweetish, fruity malts, caramel and toffee become more pronounced as it warms, orange juice and a bit of pine along with ample ashy and earthy notes. Medium to full body, gentle carbonation. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 6, 2008 Pours a dark burnt orange with a white head, quite cloudy. Aroma was full of lemon and citrus with some brown sugar and maple behind that. Big malty sweet taste of brown sugar, toffee, cookies, coffee and cinnemon. Wait, what kind of beer is this? Some floral and citrus hop notes liven up the flavor, but really, this is one of the most unique malt flavors I’ve had yet, especially in a style where hops are supposedly the star. Medium to thick palate, no heat to speak of. I was really impressed with this, what an awesome flavor!
