Aroma is moderately sweet, orange/grapefruit, some pine, duskiness, cantaloupe. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, cantaloupe/melon, caramel, light lemon/grapefruit. Medium body, low carbonation, some stickiness, light acidity. There’s a gradual buildup of resin in the mouthfeel as well. jerc (3945), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Bottle. Hazy orange amber body with a good sized beige head. Big hoppy aroma, resin and a pleasantly strange melange of fruit - tropical fruit, pineapple?, muted citrus. Mild sweet caramel undertones. Flavour has a good amount of hoppy resin and bitterness throughout, tangy citrus or tropical fruit that I cannot quite nail down. Muted malt in the background, the flavour is very hop forward, which I like. The fruit notes varied from something I quite like to something mystifying, yet still pleasant. Slightly dry finish, occasional floral notes and a very light herbaceous undertone if you look for it. (7+) Medium bodied palate. (3+) Solid IPA that offers a slightly off kilter take on the style at times. 16+ xmarcnolanx (798), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA

Taste is all orangy and yummy as shit- not that shit tastes good, but if shit did good, this would be the shit.
Finish is slightly rindy, but mostly sweet hops. Damn this is good.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Ølfabrikken claims that this has 100 IBU’s, and I, for one, believe them. There’s a very slight haze to its copper/amber body and it sports a tall off-white head. Nice lacing. There’s a surprizing amount of caramel sweetness in the aroma, but that’s quickly overshadowed by the strong pine, floral, grapefruit, and earthy hop scents. This seems thick in the mouth, perhaps because of the sturdy malt backbone. The caramel taste just about begines to intoduce itself when it’s slammed down by an onslaught of bitterness, the pine in the forefront. The finish is an intense and prolonged piney bitterness with a little soil tossed in. Certain to make cheapdark head for some mouthwash, this is a tasty treat for this hophead.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 2, 2008 22oz - Aroma of earthy hops with citrus and pine in the background finished by caramel malt. Pours cloudy brown with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor of caramel, earthy hops, alcohol, pine bark and some grapefruit. Not citrusy like an American IIPA, but still there. Palate is tart and creamy. Big and burley, a beer to chew on if you will. Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Deep copper body with off-white head that dissipated pretty fast. You can tell they were going for an American style IIPA with the hop bite, but there were malt overtones also. Interesting beer – had a strange lingering bitter aftertaste. I liked it ok, but will age the other bottle I have for awhile. wetherel (1636), Encinitas, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 2, 2008 Bought at Holiday Wine Cellar for 8.99. Possibly the last bottle, so I was happy to get it. Orange amber color. Served toward the cold side, fresh out of the fridge. A hint of oxidation in the aroma, but overpowered by lots of grassy hops. Well balanced melanoidin malt sweetness and hop bitterness. A hint of medicinal taste, which is acceptable for a huge hoppy beer like this. Probably 0.2 points better fresh without the cardboard. Melanoidin malts work excellently with IPAs. Very well done. Reminds me of Sleighor IPA a little. A pleasure to smell. I wonder if I’m a hop head? I’ve been enjoying IIPAs a lot lately. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Pours a darkish amber with a thick off white head. Caramel malt, hops, and sweet fruit in the nose. Flavor is similar, lots of piney hops kicking in as well as some orange and grapefruit citrus. Finishes bitter, slightly syrupy. This is an interesting take on an IIPA Calm yet fresh but still bitter and bursting with flavor. Good brew.
