Commercial Description:
This is the second in a range of Ølfabrikken special ales.
Starting with the rich and slightly sweet malt profile of a Belgian triple we have added a hop charge every five minutes for full duration of the boil - each hop charge 100 grams larger than the previous one. The result is an immensely bitter ale - a 100 IBU's of course.
Ølfabrikken 100 gram IPA is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and cask conditioned like all of our beers.

Bomber poured a clear copper with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, light pine and a hint of citrus. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of orange, pink grapefruit, carme4l, pine, light earthiness and a hint of spice with a smooth slightly dry lingering bitter finish.

Pours to a hazy glowing rusty amber body with a rich creamy off-white head. The aroma is very hoppy with grapefruit and pine and a lot of toasty pale malts show up too. Seems to have Maris Otter in it. Sweet barley water. The flavors are grassy and pine hops with a touch of resin laden spruce hops on the finish. Lots of spicy hops pervade through the body. Sweet malts, sugar, interesting malts (perhaps that’s the wheat?). The beer is quite balanced. The palate is rich and medium-full bodied, sweet, coating, and has a medium bitterness. I’d drink a ton of this as it goes down smoothly.

Malty hoppy aroma with hints of honey, malt, hops baked muffins and pancakes. Golden orange and rich foamy head. Malty flavors with a strong initial honey flavor and a mild bitter haylike finish. Some light saltiness and a note of wheat feilds Dries out on the duration. Smooth and creamy. Decent bitter duration. Very good.

Hazy amber with a sticky white head. Floral caramel and hop aroma with a touch of DMS. Decent hop flavor with a juicy malt backbone, rather heavy on the crystal malt. The finishing bitterness is not overwhelming. Good beer if lacking in brightness.

Bomber from tytoanderso - thanks, Tyler! Very powerful aroma as this beautiful amber beer pours, leaving a moderate head. Certainly quite bitter, but with some noticeable floral qualities that give it depth and possibly dangerous drinkability. Sweet fruits balance with malt and a fist of hops. Very good.

The color was medium amber. The head was thin, off-white, and foamy. The aroma was extremely hoppy, sweet malt, citrisy, and apricot. The flavor was very complex. There was a waxy/bitterness at the back of the mouth. It was very hoppy, citrisy, pine, sweet, apricot, and honey. The palate was thick-bodied. The finish was warm and hoppy.

Pours a copper honey color w/ a full, semi creamy froth. Superb head retention w/ a lasting full lace. Strong aromas of creamy hop chards and meaty caramel. Full nectar w/ mellow residual effers crating a full, rich, creamy texture. This brew is decadent. Mouth watering citrus rind and fat carmel malts play off eachother like a killer handball tourney. A moderate sweetness w/ nuances of popsickle sugars, meaty grapefuit, tangy tropicals, herbs, new leather, and a pinch of sodium. The finsh is long w/ sweet citrus caramel. Watch out Yule Smith. Great balance. Decadent flavor play. Highly recommended.
