Orangish amber pour with aromas of slight piney citrusy hops, caramel malts. Taste was caramel malt forward with a nice hop bite. Another nice Euro IIPA marcus (1885), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 13, 2009 This orange/copper ale pured with a fluffy off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a delicous caramel malt base overlaid with considerable, but not overwhelming hopping. This is an excellent brew that will satify both belgiophiles and hopheads. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 22, 2009 No date on the bottle, but I think this might have been at least slightly out of date. Orange-amber pour with a medium white head. Strong grapefruit aroma and a bitter taste with a syrupy, malty feel. The hops are more muted than I expected but there is a mild orange/grapefruit flavor present. Solid IPA, but for the price and considering how much I loved Olfabrikken’s porter, I have to say I was disappointed with this one. tlind2 (604), Helsinki, Finland

Strong hoppy aroma with some dark fruit. Syrupy, heavy, bitter flavor. Very full body, medium-light carbonation. Not a personal favorite, but a well-crafted beer nonetheless. I rememberd this as very good, now it is just another average IIPA. It has the citrus and bitterness of the hops, but does´nt have much more to offer.
Due to bad planing I had an Imperial Stout just before this one which may have defected my palate slightly. hirigalzkar (584), Stockholm, Sweden
