Commercial Description:
This is the second in a range of Ølfabrikken special ales.
Starting with the rich and slightly sweet malt profile of a Belgian triple we have added a hop charge every five minutes for full duration of the boil - each hop charge 100 grams larger than the previous one. The result is an immensely bitter ale - a 100 IBU's of course.
Ølfabrikken 100 gram IPA is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and cask conditioned like all of our beers.

Bottle. Really was impressed with this one. Orangish amber pour with aromas of slight piney citrusy hops, caramel malts. Taste was caramel malt forward with a nice hop bite. Another nice Euro IIPA

This orange/copper ale pured with a fluffy off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a delicous caramel malt base overlaid with considerable, but not overwhelming hopping. This is an excellent brew that will satify both belgiophiles and hopheads.

No date on the bottle, but I think this might have been at least slightly out of date. Orange-amber pour with a medium white head. Strong grapefruit aroma and a bitter taste with a syrupy, malty feel. The hops are more muted than I expected but there is a mild orange/grapefruit flavor present. Solid IPA, but for the price and considering how much I loved Olfabrikken’s porter, I have to say I was disappointed with this one.

Bottle@Olutkellari, Helsinki. Copper color, off-white head, looks viscous. Strong hoppy aroma with some dark fruit. Syrupy, heavy, bitter flavor. Very full body, medium-light carbonation. Not a personal favorite, but a well-crafted beer nonetheless.

Bottle. Pours an orange body with an off white head. Hop characteristics include pine, citrus, a light grapefruit bitterness. Sticky pine and malty caramel to finish out. Good brew.

Bottle at Sorbone, Bromma, Stockholm. I rememberd this as very good, now it is just another average IIPA. It has the citrus and bitterness of the hops, but does´nt have much more to offer. Due to bad planing I had an Imperial Stout just before this one which may have defected my palate slightly.

Bottle@Home. Flowers and grass aroma. Light hazy, amber color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, pretty bitter, fruity, floral, perfume, hint of madeira. Soft mouthfeel, flavourful, nice balance.
