Hazy dark amber with a medium off-white head. Intense piney and floral fresh hop aroma with a weak caramelly malt character. Medium bodied and smooth, unbalanced with an overwhelming bitterness. Good, but nothing special. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Pours rich amber with a medium white head. Sticky hop flavor, big citrus up front and pine in the finish. Good sweetness and caramel flavor from the malts to get some balance to this hop monster. Almost herbal quality to the sweetness, reminds me of Ricola SP? cough drops at times. Nice beer, not as big of a bitter teeth cracker as I was thinking. Guerde (710), Welcome, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 31, 2007 (bottle) Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma is very big on citrus with mandarin oranges, pineapple, and ambrosia salad. Very sweet taste at first and I was wondering where the hops went. There was a split second of nothing on the palate, then a hit of bitter hops kicked in on the finish. Not too bad at all. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA

Interesting.. as this didnt satisfy my hops craving... perhaps tis the season for some stouts. Skyview (4104), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

Finish is quite bitter with a sweet piney and light malt flavor. Quie the imperial IPA brew. BDR (2170), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Hazy amber color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet and sticky with some fresh floral/piney/citra hops and some sugary malts. Flavor is sweet, sticky and pleasantly bitter. Lots of fresh hops that had a grassy-tobacco feel along with some light sugary malt. Mouthfeel is nice - went really well with some sharp cheddar. Good for those days when you are totally anti-malt and just want some hop juice. Similar in some respects to Hop 15. The best of the recent hoppy brews from Denmark and the rest of Northern Europe. Nose of big hops and even larger malts. Biting almost cloying resinous grapefruit mouth feel. Finished empowered and bitter.
