Commercial Description:
This is the second in a range of Ølfabrikken special ales.
Starting with the rich and slightly sweet malt profile of a Belgian triple we have added a hop charge every five minutes for full duration of the boil - each hop charge 100 grams larger than the previous one. The result is an immensely bitter ale - a 100 IBU's of course.
Ølfabrikken 100 gram IPA is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and cask conditioned like all of our beers.

An unclear orange beer with a lazing creamy beige head. The aroma is primarily of oranges, but with a deep background of hops - as if the hops are hidding, ready to ambush me. The flavor is very fruity and hoppy with lots of sweetness to balance the hops, but the sweetness makes it a bit sticky in the mouth. The end is dry and very bitter - though still somewhat sticky. A very good beer, but a bit too sweet and sticky for me.

(On tap) Unclear, greyish brown with a creamy, beige head. Extremely aromatic fruity, hoppy nose - very floral. Distinct hop bitterness, but extremely flavourfull with notes of caramel, but ends very dry. 281005

25 cL from tap at Ølbaren. Pours with huge white head. Muddy brown/orange colour. Fruity and bitter aroma. Taste is fruity, berries and a fabulous bitterness lasting far into and beyond the finish. However a soft and wellbalanced bitterness.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Hazy dark amber. Intense flowery nose. Sweet and gently hop aromatic. Feels soothing yet bold, somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Aromatic peachy finish with lingering bitterness.

Draught @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. Hazy amber orange color with a average frothy good lacing mostly diminshing off-white head. Aroma is heavy hoppy, perfume / grape, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration, hoppy sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Very nice ;o))

Draught. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is grassy and dry hops and some alcohol. Flavour is strong hops, grass and some slight fruits, which balance the dryness up. Wellmade double IPA.

Draught at Ølbaren. Hazy golden coloured with an off white head. Aroma of fruits, pine needles and hops. Flavour of pine needles and hops with fruity notes. Long hoppy finish. Nice, but the flavour is very one-sided hoppy.
