Bottle. Clear medium red amber - brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, raisin, plum, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft. Feels very young.. (240308)

Shared by Christian himself. Poured a hazy brown with a creamy beige head. The aroma was sweet and malty. Light alcohol in the nose. Nice malty flavor with hoppy citrus and light pine. Tasty with a full body. Very warming.

Bottle. [thank you, faroeviking]
Pours a beautiful, hazy deep red with an impressive creamy yellowish head on top. Incredibly complex aroma. Very fruity and nutty. Hazel nuts, figs, apples, caramel, raisins, cascade hops, port, lightly roasted toffee. Just wonderful. Rather sweet, but not too much. Alcohol is well hidden beneath all the things that assault my nose. Mouthfeel has a good, subdued liveliness to it, making the beer rather fresh in character. Flavour is sweet caramel at first, then a touch of vanilla, the hazel nuts again, hoppy bitterness. Touches of toffee, chocolate, port and grapes/apples again. Long, warming aftertaste. This feels like nowhere near 11 %. Really good barley wine, and probably the best I’ve had (ever).

Bottle. Pours a hazy darkish amber color with a small off-white head. Sweetish malty hoppy aroma with some nutty hints. Sweet malty sugary hoppy bitter flavor. Long warming malty finish with a long hoppy bitter aftertaste.

25cl bottle bought at Olbutikken, Copenhagen. Dark brown with nice head & lacings. So concentrated & balanced. Some vinousness & sweetness - caramel/toffee. Slight roast & plenty of hops. Heavy bitter. Sticky, creamÿ, smooth & filling! Love it!
