Bottled. A murky red-brown beer with a huge orange-tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of citrus, dusty hops, prunes, and fruit. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of over ripe fruits shortly followed by the alcohol that gives the beer body, and tickles the tongue. The flavor also contains notes of prunes, wood, and caramel. The finish is dry and alcoholic.

(Bottle 25 cl) Courtesy of faroeviking. Pours a hazy, dark amber with a creamy, light brown head. Aroma is overripe fruit, oily hops and alcohol. Very full body. Sweetish notes of caramel and overripe fruit and a somewhat medicinal touch. The bitterness is surprisingly subdued - especially considering it being a Ølfabrikken brew. I guess more sorta an English style Barleywine. 171207

25 cL bottle, thanks to faroeviking. Pours hazy brown with a little lacing off-white head. Aroma is heavy hoppy fruity with a sweet caramel malt beneath. Flavour is solid caramel malt with a touch of liqourice mixing in with the fruity hops note. Finish is lingering sweet, fruity and malty.

Bottle. Clear medium red amber - brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, raisin, plum, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft. Feels very young.. (240308)

Bottled. Hazy brownish amber colour with mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is caramel, yeast, mild spicyness as well as some red berries. Flavour is sweet fruits, some yeast, herbs and fudge. Interesting barley wine, with a big plummy and alcoholic aftertaste.

Pours deep red brown with big thick head. Not that much in the aroma but hops are present. Flavor has overripe fruits, hops and toffee. Well balanced. Alcohol is good hidden.
