Commercial Description:
When we were getting closer to brewing our 100'th batch we wanted it to be something special. That is why we decided to confirm all the prejudices about Ølfabrikken and make the hoppiest beer made in Europe in 150 years. It contains almost 100 times more hops than your average Danish lager per liter - and all of it high-alpha US hops. The brutal bitterness is balanced by a full-bodied, but not sweet, malt profile based on Maris otter and caramel malt with some cane sugar adding dryness. Ølfabrikken Batch #100 is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and cask conditioned like all of our beers. Introduced on 'Københavnske Øldage 2006'.

Golden hazy body with white head. Lots of hops in the nose with notes of lime and some hay or grass. Great taste of pure hops that almost made me choke the first time it hit my throat. Very long and bitter taste that stays on your teeth forever.

500ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden body with an off-white head. Aroma is plenty of hops/citrus, very promising. Flavor is moderate malty with a lot of hops and some alcohol. Finnish is long and bitter. Nice beer, but a bit unbalanced. Medium body with a bit to high alcohol level and bitterness. Ending up as a bit one dimensional after a few sips.

Bottled. It has a slightly cloudy, golden body and an off-white head. The aroma has lots of pine and resin, some citrus-notes and beef-stock. Very hoppy and bitter in the mouth, quite intensly bitter, with some beefstock-like maltyness. Full body and a biting sensation in the mouth. A quite brutal bitter, probably a bit heavy on the hops, yet it is good, but nothing I could have enjoyed a full session. The ABV is also too high for that, but it is not the alcohol you notice. Draught. Hazy light brown with off white head. Flowery aroma with meadow, lemon and malt. Sweet and malty flavour with flowers and the taste of a bitter old man. Soft.

500 ml unlabeled bottle thanks to bager. Lots of Head on top of this orange beer. Nice aromas of citrusy hops and vanilla. Flavor was a bit more bitter than I had expected, but the sweetness from the malt was nicely balance. Pretty darn good.

Hazy to unclear orange/golden beer. Extreme hops aroma, somewhat floral but mostly just "hops". Extremely bitter, not quite balanced.
