Commercial Description:
When we were getting closer to brewing our 100'th batch we wanted it to be something special. That is why we decided to confirm all the prejudices about Ølfabrikken and make the hoppiest beer made in Europe in 150 years. It contains almost 100 times more hops than your average Danish lager per liter - and all of it high-alpha US hops. The brutal bitterness is balanced by a full-bodied, but not sweet, malt profile based on Maris otter and caramel malt with some cane sugar adding dryness. Ølfabrikken Batch #100 is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and cask conditioned like all of our beers. Introduced on 'Københavnske Øldage 2006'.

Tap. Muddy amber with big creamy off white head. Powerful scent of hops and quite freshly blossomy. Taste is quite bitter but has sweet tones as well.

Tasted at ølfabrikken: 100% unclear orange with almost no head (due to carbonation needed a week to develop) Flowery, fruity and very hoppy aroma. Fine bite from a lot of hops. Great!

Draught @ Købehavnske Øldage. Hazy and amberish in colour with a medium head. A very hoppy double IPA. Very well balanced. Nice hoppyness - also some notes of fruit - and citrus.

Draught at Plan B, Copenhagen
Muddy amber color; big creamy head. Wonderful fruity aroma, having also some grass (I remember my youth years in Como; geranium?) and resins; at the end, a clear aroma of hop pellets. The taste is malty, and the malt is soon overwhelmed by an extreme and aggressive hopping, full of resins.

Draught@Købehavnske Øldage. A very hoppy double IPA. Lots of lychee, apricot and citrus fruits, with a piney/leafy bitterness. Lots of sweet and bitter hoppyness in here. Tasty stuff.

Bottle. Nose is slightly juicy hop honey and fuesal notes. Flavor is juicy hops, thick. Low carbonation, but still has a really thick body. Slightly tinny, but overall the juicy, toasty hops full of dark oranges and bread flavors work very well.

Very bitter and filled with apricot, citrus, mango, pine needles. Somewhat soapy long aftertaste.
