chriso (4667), London, Greater London, England Dec 18, 2006 Cask, at Olbaren, May 2006. An amber coloured bitter with a very authentic feel. Many overseas brewers (and plenty of UK ones) struggle to get much flavour into a 3.6% beer. Plenty don’t even think its worth trying. No such worries with this beer. The aroma doesn’t leap out but the earthy and tangy bitterness builds on the palate to very tasty effect. The dry hopping is obviously much more generous than most UK examples. Very nicely done
MPA (478), Nørrebro(formerly Aalborg), Denmark Dec 4, 2006 Draught. Amber with nice off white head. Grain, alcohol and citrus in aroma. Flavour of malt, citrus and hops. ChristianScheffel (4431), Odense, Denmark Oct 26, 2006 Hazy copper with a cream head. Overwhelming hoppy aroma, with an obvious bitter flavour. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Jul 23, 2006 Cask. Weak fruity aroma. Almost clear chestnut colour. The flavour has a quite fruity hoppiness. Medium bitterness. Good, standard fruity and malty bitter. sunevdj (1764), Copenhagen OE, Denmark Jun 17, 2006 Cask @ Ølbaren. Pours a clear amber with a dimminishing head. Dry and quite hoppy. No CO2. Some malty caramel, but mostly hops. Fruity finish. I need more CO2 but nice hops profile. Theis (3617), Denmark Jun 17, 2006 Cask at Ølbaren, earlier at Københavns Øldage 2006. Amber colour. Not much aroma, and very little flavour in the beginning. But the after taste is very dry and bitter, and a little caramel malty. A very dry hoppy version of a traditional English Bitter. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Jun 7, 2006 Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2006. Amber colour with a weak head. Aroma of light toffee, caramel and some hints of fruitness from the hops. Tasty flavour of caramel and hops, ends up very bitter and little dry. Very tasty for the low alcohol. henrikb (1298), Aarhus, Denmark Jun 4, 2006 Unclear golden body, very little head; Draught . Quite small very fruity nose; nicely bitter body very balanced; into long bitter finish which is a little watery. Good bitter.
