Nice toasty makt aroma with some faint citrussy hops. In the mouth it’s toasty again but much more intense with some cocoa powder notes holding it together, and finishing with a quick hoppy bite. Lovely. Rastacouere (5565), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Comments: A chocolatey brown ale in the hoppy, citrusy American mold. Roastiness ultimately clashes a bit with the acidity inherent to the hops. Less natural than most offering from this brewery.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 2, 2007 Murky brown body, with a large fluffy head and ample lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, some dark fruit, grapefruit, some chocolate, not unlike some of those hoppy USA porters. Bittersweet and roasty taste - a large malt profile, with chocolate, cherry, caramel, espresso, plus well-integrated grapefruity hops. Dries out dramatically in the finish. Excellent balance. Low on CO2. NoiZe (1382), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands
