Jun 20, 2007 Updated: Jun 30, 2008Cask and draught at Københavnske Øldage. The aroma is more delicate in the casked version, and balances hops and malt in a nice way. There’s some sweetness as well, and a tad note of cinnamon can be traced. It pours clear, golden-copper, with a small, off-white head. It tastes almost like an IPA, with generous amounts of both hops and malt, but is at only 3.5% ABV. Definately the opposite of for instance Greene King IPA, which of course isn’t an IPA. Sommer Bitter has a medium body and a long, refreshing, hoppy finish. Yet another fine brew from Ølfabrikken. (070511)
