Ølfestival 2007. Draught. Pours a hazy yellow with a medium, domminishin white head. Smells hoppy. Lightbodied and slightly thin. Has a light sweetness and is quite hoppy for a bitter. Nice. Rather flat though.

Cask and draught at Københavnske Øldage. The aroma is more delicate in the casked version, and balances hops and malt in a nice way. There’s some sweetness as well, and a tad note of cinnamon can be traced. It pours clear, golden-copper, with a small, off-white head. It tastes almost like an IPA, with generous amounts of both hops and malt, but is at only 3.5% ABV. Definately the opposite of for instance Greene King IPA, which of course isn’t an IPA. Sommer Bitter has a medium body and a long, refreshing, hoppy finish. Yet another fine brew from Ølfabrikken. (070511)

Tap at CPH festival: Yellow unclear with white head. Nice hoppy aroma. Bitter, soft a bit flat body/carbonation. Easy drinkable & enjoyable. Needs a shot of Co2 I think, but a nice bitter indeed!

Københavnske Øldage 07. Yellow/orange with a fruity aroma. The flavour is light with notes of caramel and light citrus. It’s not a "big" beer, but still it’s charming and quenching. 2190 6-3-6-3-10 = 2.8 Later rating bottle: Copper golden with a small head. The aroma has nice notes of Cascade hops, that I love, and the citrus notes (much tangerine) are delightful and nicely balanced by notes of caramel. The flavour has a nice body, a nice caramel foundation, lovely cascade hoppy notes of tangerine and other citrus fruits. The balance is very nice - and I’m a total sucker for beers with so much flavour in spite of the low ABV - well done, well done!!!

Bottled. Cloudy dark golden with a steady white head. Floral hop aroma with citrousy undertones. Light-bodied with notes of citric fruit, caramel and flowers. Short but strong citric bitter finish.

Comments: Rather musty and earthy bitter with a tasty, yet smooth citric bitterness. Foamy texture lacks a little bite, but at 3.5%, this is a tasty one.
