Commercial Description:
A malty and easy drinkable barleywine with notes of caramel, chocolate, baked chestnuts and discrete hopping. The beer has been matured for several months before release providing it with a soft character. Of course unfiltered, unpasteurized and refermented in the bottle like all of our beers.

The color is incredibly beautiful mahogany red and the head is small. The aroma has sweetness, caramel, fruit and a bit of alcohol. The mouthfeel is fat and the flavour has notes of roasted malt, caramel, a light sweetness, fruit, hops, a touch of chocolate and a nice bitterness. the finish is very long, and it’s a really nice BW. 2304

Bottle. Reddish brown. Aroma is freshly baked bread, øllebrød (traditional Danish dish made of rye bread, sugar and hvidtøl (traditional danish sweet low-alchohol beer)), caramel and alcohol. Piney flavour, very bitter. Very good, but I expect a barley to be bigger and more winey (unless it’s subdued by very hoppy aroma).

Bottle. I can´t belive I have not rated this beer before, I have had quit alot of it. It´s a beautyfull red brown beer with a big beige head. The aroma is light sweet and of caramel malt, chocolate and piny hops, the taste is is also sweet, but not to much, it´s caramel malt, chocolate and rye bread, not as much hops in the taste as in the aroma. Medium to full body with a sweet finish. Plesant Barley Wine, Nise Job Richard!

Dark red-brown coloured, off-white, not too beatiful head. Malts, molasses, some fruit, hops. Hops dominate the flavour, but not as overwhelming as in som double IPA’s. Bitter finish with some alcohol.
