Commercial Description:
English: Ølfabrikken Cream Ale is a nice little thirst quencher brewed with a big quantity oatmeal, which combined with very light carbonation provides the ale with a extra smooth texture. The hops are American Amarillo that leave a fresh, crisp bitterness and notes of ripe abricot. Ølfabrikken Cream Ale is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

Hazy yellow golden with high carbonation during pour. Little white head. Clear definition of flowery hoppyness in the aroma, some caramel as well. Not sweet - low carbonated here. bitter finish. Not their best beer.

500 ml bottle. Golden yellow and really cloudy. Nice little average white head. Looks much like a witbier. Chocolatey orange yeastiness aroma. Somewhat biscuity. Toasted oats. Sourish and bitter mouthfeel. Thick soft texture. Finishes rich and slightly sweet, but also with a sharp bitter edge. Very interesting beer indeed, and surprisingly complex. This is not like the American cream ales as far as I can tell.

Medium white head over hazy yellow body. Hoppy yeast oat flour malt aroma with something chocolatey at the back. Taste is big orange oat malts with a chocolatey background. Bitterish, with citric hop notes. Harmonic, even though the orange is kind of dominant. Good, interesting, unusual. (0.5l bottle.)

Bottled. A bit pale golden, with a small off-white head. American hops and malty sweetness in the quite pleasant aroma. The flavor is a bit weak, with a nice hop-level, yeast and a grainy note. Medium body, quite dry. The aroma promises more than the flavor can fullfill, but it is a quite good beer anyway. (7-3-6-3-12-3.1) (060704)

Rerate: Draught at Horsens Beerfestival. Unclear, golden-orange with a white head. Fresh aroma with citrusy hops. The flavor is hoppy with fruits and lemon. Medium body. A very refreshing beer, but maybe a bit one-dimentional. (061028)
