| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2006 A brownish red beer with a nice quite dense light brown head. The aroma is sweet and very malty with notes of caramel, dark sugar, and some hops. The flavor is sweet and quite roasted malty with notes of brown sugar and caramel as well as a tinge of spices. The mouthfeel is very dry - especially on the tongue, right from the start. The body is a bit light, but the flavors sure make up for this. Papsoe (15004), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly hazy orangey brown with an off-white head. Becomes extremely muddy as you reach the yeast sediment. Discreet aroma of roasted malt. Fairly light body with flavours of coffee and lightly burned malts. Discreet underlying sweetness. A light bitterness in the finish from the burned malts. Very quaffable. 300906 omhper (12242), Stockholm, Sweden

A really pleasant dark mild, all be it, in a very American style (Aromatic hops!!). Chocolate, caramel and roasty malt dominate the flavour, but there are some hoppy nuances towards the finish, hoppy finish, pleasant, ale, whatever style it ended up being.
