Commercial Description:
ØLFABRIKKEN DARK MILD is our march experimental ale and our interpretation of the British worker's favourite ale. Dark Mild is unusually complex for a beer with such modest alcohol content. It is a bit hoppier than traditional milds and as such more refreshing. The malt profile is adjusted with a pinch of molasses sugar, providing notes of dark rum. Ølfabrikken Dark Mild is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

A brownish red beer with a nice quite dense light brown head. The aroma is sweet and very malty with notes of caramel, dark sugar, and some hops. The flavor is sweet and quite roasted malty with notes of brown sugar and caramel as well as a tinge of spices. The mouthfeel is very dry - especially on the tongue, right from the start. The body is a bit light, but the flavors sure make up for this.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly hazy orangey brown with an off-white head. Becomes extremely muddy as you reach the yeast sediment. Discreet aroma of roasted malt. Fairly light body with flavours of coffee and lightly burned malts. Discreet underlying sweetness. A light bitterness in the finish from the burned malts. Very quaffable. 300906

[Bottled at Købehavnske Øldage] Cloudy reddish amber. Grapefruity nose. Fairly sweet and really aromatic. More American pale ale than mild with it’s rather intense hoppiness.

Cloudy red/brown colour. Small head. Hoppy aroma, but not as much as their other beers, some malt. The flavour is nice and malty, aftertaste is a little thin.

Muddy brown, dark mahogany. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and yeast. The flavour is slightly sweet with notes of caramel and roasted malt, and the body is quite full.

Bottle. Muddy ruby colour with a medium beige head. Malty, chocolate, fruity, hoppy aroma and a light sweet, light roasted, chocolate taste. Medium body with a light sweet dry finish.

Bottle@Købehavnske Øldage. A really pleasant dark mild, all be it, in a very American style (Aromatic hops!!). Chocolate, caramel and roasty malt dominate the flavour, but there are some hoppy nuances towards the finish, hoppy finish, pleasant, ale, whatever style it ended up being.
