Commercial Description:
ØLFABRIKKEN DARK MILD is our march experimental ale and our interpretation of the British worker's favourite ale. Dark Mild is unusually complex for a beer with such modest alcohol content. It is a bit hoppier than traditional milds and as such more refreshing. The malt profile is adjusted with a pinch of molasses sugar, providing notes of dark rum. Ølfabrikken Dark Mild is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

Bottled: Dark reddish brown coloured. Unclear. Light dense brown head. Light sweet aroma. Loads of herbs and hops. Cocoa, flowers, loaeds of fruits and some sweetness in the flaour. Full bodied and smooth. Ends bitter and caramelly. Very flavourfull for a 3,8% beer. I really dig this.

[Bottled] Red-brown in colour. Earthy, light roasty nose. Light chocolatey flavour, along with roast and earth. Hops are indeed present, so what makes this a mild? Who cares? Very American Style brew, with a lively, fluffy mouthfeel.

Bottle. Hazy brown with a shortlived off white head. Sweet caramel along with fresh hops gives an amazing aroma. Flavour of tobacco, licorice and hops. Delicous beer!

Bottle@Købehavnske Øldage. A really pleasant dark mild, all be it, in a very American style (Aromatic hops!!). Chocolate, caramel and roasty malt dominate the flavour, but there are some hoppy nuances towards the finish, hoppy finish, pleasant, ale, whatever style it ended up being.

Cloudy dark copper with a lasting off-white head. Malt, chocolate, molasses, fruit aroma. Fills the mouth with sweetness and hops initially, but gets a bit watery in the finish. Refreshing to see a microbrew with lower alcohol content than a standard pilsner - that’s a truly bold choice!

Cloudy red/brown colour. Small head. Hoppy aroma, but not as much as their other beers, some malt. The flavour is nice and malty, aftertaste is a little thin.

Bottle. Muddy ruby colour with a medium beige head. Malty, chocolate, fruity, hoppy aroma and a light sweet, light roasted, chocolate taste. Medium body with a light sweet dry finish.

[Bottled at Købehavnske Øldage] Cloudy reddish amber. Grapefruity nose. Fairly sweet and really aromatic. More American pale ale than mild with it’s rather intense hoppiness.
