Commercial Description:
Near Ølfabrikken is a field with 1000 raspberry plants carrying a late sort of small and very flavorful raspberries. Once a year we pick the raspberries and throw them into a single brew. Due to The harvest 2005 was characterized by more rain and colder weather than usual, which meant than the berries was more tart than usual and even more complex in flavor. We decided that the base beer should be complex and sweet to match the berries. The resulting beer made from seven different malts, three different sugars, five different hops and a Belgian ale yeast provides a huge body and complexity matching the raspberries. Ølfabrikken Dekadence 2005 is of course unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers.

Got to rate this since it was served from the very last keg af CSAs tasting. Not much to look at being unclear and brown with no head. But the berry flavour and the sweet and lightly sour taste combined with a smoothness the totally disguised al booze was heavenly!

Bottle from skyview. Cool beer! Pours a cloudy brown with no real head. Aroma is dominated by raspberries, booze, brown sugar and caramel. Flavor is thick and sweet. Raspberries, honey, dark agave nectar, and booze. I really enjoyed this. Would be a good after dinner drink.

Bottle 500 ml 2007 Vintage
Appearance: dark murky brown , amber light top.
Nose: True earthy aromas , brown dark malt , neatly balanced with true raspberry feel. Honest solid nose.8-
Flavor/Palate : Mid light bodied. Shot of vodka , straight organic berry feel. Very smooth , drinkable for its strength fruit brew.

Wonderful bottle sent by Svend Nyman, bottle shop owner in Denmark. Aroma of real raspberry and some booziness. Great raspberry colour. A tad sour, above average mouthfeel. Some woodiness in finish. Rich and alcohol, natural carbonation. Something special and ageing could not have hurt.

Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2007, Valby. Pours a brown beer (reddish) with a small beige head. The aroma is raspberry with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with lots of raspberries. The palate is fresh with notes of alkohol. Overall a good beer, but not my favorite beerstyle.
