Commercial Description:
Our Autumn Brew is a dark and malty ale with four different caramel malts combined into a rich and slightly sweet malt profile. Aromatic Czech Saazer hops supplements the fruitness from the yeast.

Enjoy it at 10-12 degrees Celcius with roasted, salted chestnuts with butter on one of those wet, cold and dark Scandinavian autumn afternoons.

Bottle. It pours an almost clear orange-golden body, topped by a dense, small, beige head. Malty and sweetish on the nose, with some spicy notes. Caramel and malts in the mouth, quite smooth and full-bodied with a pleasant level of co2. Some spices and fine hops too. Sweet and delicately bitter finish. A nice one, quite hard to pin. Still, it makes me miss the good old Ølfabrikken and the experimental spirit. (090116)

A little sour, which I think was probably an unintentional infection. I love Saaz hops but I didn’t pick up on them in this beer. Brown color, and a moderately malty flavor with some sugar, and a little sweet.

Picked up a 500 ml swing top bottle via trade with Papsoe. Pours a cloudy reddish brown brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates clean. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, a touch of toffee, dark pitted fruits, and a touch of yeast. Taste is medium bodied, semi-sweet flavor of caramel, toffee, some tart fruit and a hint of brown sugar. Finish is semi-dry a slight tart aftertaste with a hint of powdered caramel malt character. Beer may be a little past its prime but still drinkable.

Clear red/amber look with a thich light brown head. Very aromatic, lots of sweet caramel and flowery hops along with some lemon and alchohol. Fresh and delicious flavor with a pretty complex malty caramel/toffee sweetnes mixed with a good amount of bitterness. Great beer.

Dark chestnut color. I was really unimpressed by this--to me the flavor was a sort of ’’mush’’. That isn’t very flattering, but a brewery can’t make every one a gem. There’s a sourness here that layers over a fairly nondescript caramel quality. Nothing much of anything worth remembering. Thanks to Skyview for the chance to try it anyway.
