Strong aroma of caramel, of dry wood, of hay and cereals. Good body strength, with some malt flavor, some sweetness, caramel; maybe too much cereals taste. Reasonably bitter, with also some nice hidden aromatic hop. Controversial. faroeviking (6100), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 28, 2007 The first beer me and ozujsko had of the 11 we got from Papsoe. This poured a murky brown colour with a medium sized fluffy tan head that went away at a medium pace,. Pleasant and complex sweetish nose, malt, honey, herbs and a touch of roasted malts. The taste is pleasant yet odd... a coffeeish/earthy roasted malt taste, fought with a refreshing, yet out of place sourness (yeah, our bottle was also bb April 1st). Weak sweetish aftertaste. Ok enough. Wonder if this is how it was supposed to taste. Dedollewaitor (3745), Odense, Denmark
