Commercial Description:
This beer was brewed to celebrate the Great Danish Beer Festival. It is a Belgian inspired amber ale which has been conditioned for six months for extra smoothness. The malts are balanced by delicious Czech Saaz hops. Ølfabrikken Festival Reserve is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers. Introduced on 'Københavnske Øldage 2006'. Only available in 1½ liter champagne bottles.

On tap at Cph Beerfestival. Hazy orange ale with an off-white head. Maltysweet, fruity and hoppy on the nose. Sweet, citrus-hoppy flavor, with the same in the finish. Medium body. Pleasant beer, but nothing more. (060519)

Bottle. Cloudy golden colour. Nice hoppy aroma, a bit of cheese and yeast. The flavour is OK hoppy, but not very bitter. Yeasty aftertaste. Standard mouthfeel.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2006. Unclear amber colour with a weak head. Light aroma of sweet malt and some citrus too. Light hoppy flavour with a sweet malt profile, ends up dry and little hoppy. Very enjoyable.

Unclear golden orange body, white head disappearing fast leaving some laces; Very, very pleasant nose of juicy fresh apples; Full warm body, full carbonation, balanced; Into creamy buttery, malty finish. A bit sharp with some alcohol apparent in both nose and finish, I am not sure what this beer really wants to be because of a clear lack clarity.

Bottle. Hazy orange in colour. A nicely balanced ale, with some sweet caramel, and citric, lightly apricoty hop characters, finish is lightly yeasty, a very pleasant ale.

Bottle. Pours a pulpy orange body witha small white head. The aroma is yeasty, bread-like, and has some fruit peachiness. Quite yeasty and there is a lot of caramel and bread flaovur. Alcohol warmth is apparent towards the end. Very nice. Sampled at the Ølfabrikken Brewday on May 19, 2006.
