Commercial Description:
This beer was brewed to celebrate the Great Danish Beer Festival. It is a Belgian inspired amber ale which has been conditioned for six months for extra smoothness. The malts are balanced by delicious Czech Saaz hops. Ølfabrikken Festival Reserve is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers. Introduced on 'Københavnske Øldage 2006'. Only available in 1½ liter champagne bottles.

Bottled: Murky orange coloured. Off white head. Sweet and light herbal aroma. Has fruity notes. Spices, yeast, sweetness, citrus is what comes to my mind in the flavour. Is quite dry. Quite cleansing. Is medium bodied. Alcoholnotes is present, at least at the end, where a light warmth is on the lips.

An unclear orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is yeasty and fruity with oranges standing out. The flavor is sweet and both very yeasty and very fruity with some notes of the alcohol showing up late, leading to a dry yeasty end.

Bottle, Københavnske Øldage 2006. Cloudy orange with a hint of brown. Small creamy white head. Sweet wheaty aroma. Strong hoppy presence. Feels like a light double wheat bock. Creamy mouthfeel with a gentle alcoholic background. Finishes dry.

(Bottle 150 cl) Pours a hazy golden with a creamy, off-white head. Lightly hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, very malty, very sweet - almost perfumy. Lightly hoppy finish. 190506

Sampled from bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2006.
Unclear amber colored, small white head. Malty, fruity aroma with oranges and some alcohol present. Orangy creamy flavor, dry with a good bitterness. OK, but pretty ordinary compared to the usual Ølfabrikken standard.
