Commercial Description:
This beer was brewed to celebrate the Great Danish Beer Festival. It is a Belgian inspired amber ale which has been conditioned for six months for extra smoothness. The malts are balanced by delicious Czech Saaz hops. Ølfabrikken Festival Reserve is, of course, unpasteurized, unfiltered and bottle conditioned like all of our beers. Introduced on 'Københavnske Øldage 2006'. Only available in 1½ liter champagne bottles.

An unclear orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is yeasty and fruity with oranges standing out. The flavor is sweet and both very yeasty and very fruity with some notes of the alcohol showing up late, leading to a dry yeasty end.

(Bottle 150 cl) Pours a hazy golden with a creamy, off-white head. Lightly hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, very malty, very sweet - almost perfumy. Lightly hoppy finish. 190506

1.5 L bottles shared with my staff. Pours orange/brown with yellow/brown head. Malt and very hoppy aroma. Taste is mild malty with lots of hops. Elements of yeast and fruit. Great beer that eveyone enjoyed.

[Draught at Købehavnske Øldage] Hazy pale orange. Grassy, hoppy nose. Sweet with light banana character, some yeast and syrup. Somewhat sticky mouthfeel. I was expecting more.

Bottle. Cloudy golden colour. Nice hoppy aroma, a bit of cheese and yeast. The flavour is OK hoppy, but not very bitter. Yeasty aftertaste. Standard mouthfeel.
