How is this rated so low, its damn tasty. Pours copper with a tan ring. Nose is big super tart with some cherry. Taste is tart, with cherry and overall very nice, really damn potent sour, with acidic tart notes. Damn good with a lot of carbonation. henrikb (1303), Aarhus, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2007 What a very pleasant surprise - Hazy orange brown body, lasting beige head; Beautiful right Oude Bruin nose, with lots of cherry as a fresh slightly sour touch on the side; Huge big bubbled carbonation, sour, soft textured body, lacks depth which I guess would arrive with some more time in the bottle; Long sour growing finish, it does again need a little more time to become really sour, cherry pit aromas are at the forefront with straight malt aromas in the back. Great beer, looking forward to (hopefully) taste this again later. notalush (2675), Denver, Colorado, USA

Comments: Kinda spicy, very sharp, earthy and VERY sour beer whose low ratings surprise me a bit. I found it brilliant and if the carbonation was aggressive indeed, the body underneath was relatively round and stuffy enough if you just swirled it around a bit before gulping.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 6, 2009 Bottle from Papsoe, huge thanks for this one. Full cherry and rubber aroma with fleeting signs of wonderful lambic. It is so close, but doesn’t quite make it, but this is definitely the closest I’ve ever tasted to legitimate lambic from a non-lambic maker (as opposed to a more general sour ale, which tends to have a pretty different sour profile). Flavor has that lambic tartness, though not as much so, a touch of cherry, peanut and cheese. Distressingly close to awesome. gunnfryd (3599), Kristiansand, Norway

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 29, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Kim Johansen, cheers Kim, shared with Casey, Traci, Craig, Stella and Loz in tasting Pours lively with a big head. Really good tangy cherry, quite sour with a nice dab of sherbert. The bubbles continue to pop like crazy on the surface of this beer. Some tangy unsweetened jam, this just pours as lively as Andrews Liversalts, crazy stuff, nice beer though. JK (2960), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 12, 2008 Sour aroma and flavor. This beer is a combination of styles with the sour acidity and vinegar-like flavor of a Flanders brown and the yeasty, barnyard, wild quality of a saison. It reminds me of Orval, but with the addition of cherries and lots of yeast, it certainly is a fruit beer. Real fruit flavor. Light red color.
