Nov 4, 2006 Shared by Sliffy at the last Columbus tasting (biggest suprise of the night!). Aroma was very light--a hint of roasted malt in there. Poured black with a brown head. The palate was great for a porter---full and stoutlike. It coats your mouth for sure. Taste was lots of chocolate, roasted malts and just the right hint of hops. Great beer, shared by a great ratebeerian...

Nov 1, 2006 Shared at CTV3 by sliffy, thanks! Poured back with a small tan head. The aroma was roasted malts, some coffee, a bit of sourness. Flavor was thick and almost vinous with some solid coffee and bitter chocolate throughout. Oily and full bodied...roasty and very complex for a porter. Great stuff!

Oct 31, 2006 C.T.3.0- Dark reddish-brown, almost black with no real head, just some bubbles around the edge. Smelled like roasted malts, maple syrup and oak. Was a little thick and rich for a porter but delicious with lots of vanilla, dark chocolate and burnt coffee.

Oct 30, 2006 Bottle shared at Columbus Tasting 3.0 by sliffy! - Thanks! - Pours thick and black with very little head. Aromas of light roasted malts and a touch of coffee. Flavor is big and robust with dark chocolate, roasted malts, some black currant, and coffee. Thick oily palate gives this beer an incredible mouthfeel. This is a fantastic brew!!!

Oct 30, 2006 Bottle from Madsberg: Oily black pour with virtually no head. Aroma, a light roastiness and some coffee. Flavor, roasty malts, coffee, chocolate. Very viscous mouthfeel, incredibly smooth. This beer is excellent.

Oct 25, 2006 Bottle. Very small but good looking dark brown head. I have earlier described a body as pitch black. This is certainly the case here. No light coming through. Spicy coffee aroma. Soft and smooth mouthfeel. Heavy coffee hops flavor. I love it.

Oct 23, 2006 Pitch black colour with a dark brown head. Roasted malty and fruity aroma with a light coffee note and hints of hops. Roasted malty flavor with a coffee bitterness and notes of chocolate and tobacco.Light sweet and rosted bitter finish.

Oct 13, 2006 Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head in the right shape and size (IMO). Brown sugar, chcocolate, liqourice, raisins and dades in the nose. Flavour is fantastic . Loads of liqourice, roast, herbs and chocolate. Some vague coffee notes. Loads of raisins and plums here as well. Full bodied. Quite dry and roasted bitter end. This is another very good porter from Ølfabrikken. Not that it matters much, but this is my danish beer no. 700.
