Commercial Description:

75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a light tan head. Dense hoppy and somewhat yeasty aroma. Flavour is caramel malt and Belgian yeast with a distinct and solid hoppy floral flavour. Bitter, roasted malt and yeasty flavoured finish. Somewhat unrefined and undbalanced.

The color is muddy brown and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of fruit, yeast, caramel and rubber and anise. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of fruity hops, nuts, caramel, light citrus, hints of licorice, yeast and IMO it’s a bit out of balance.

Bottle. [thank you, Feldthaus]
On the bus to ZBF. Pours muddy brown with a creamy, off-white head. Nice duration. Aroma is spicy, herbal and peppery. The mouthfeel is frothy, a bit watery and with high carbonation. Flavour has liqourice in the herbal way, light hops and a spicy finis. Not that well balanced.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s a hazy, orange-brown beer with a creamy, beige head. Slightly rubbery, bretty nose with malts and caramel. The flavor is mostly bready, with a flowery hint. Effervescent, full-bodied and dry mouthfeel, and a long, grainy finish with some alcohol and a hint of brett. Far from impressing, especially the rubbery touch, and I’m not sure whether the bretty notes are intended or not, or if they suit the beer at all. (090605)
